so this is terrible but i've done this in a rush because i don't want people to think i've lost interest!
 
☆ Saturday :
Third Challenge - The VSFS is less than a week away, so all of the girls are heading down to the VS studio to try some test outfits on for the show! We're also getting interviewed by some press while we're there, so expect cameras!
 

- Why does your model love the fittings/what does she love about them?
Since this is Ava's first vs show everything about the fittings is amazing!. She loves the idea of feeling like she is a part of something big. Also as someone who watched vs before she loves seeing all the hardwork that goes into it.

- Why are the fittings important to you?
Apart from them being essential to the sucess of the show as stated earlier Ava loves to see the hardwork that goes into getting a show like this up and running , it makes it easier for her to appreciate.

- What outfit(s) were your favorites to try on?
Ava tried on two outfits she really loved.
Outfit A (Jacquelyn) - Ava liked this because it was cute and flirty , something easy to wear and have fun in.
 
Outfit B (Maryna) - It brightly coloured and sexy at the same time something Ava loves.

I smiled nervously as the photographer took pictures of me and a few of the girls.
 
"Look at you blonde bombshells." He muttered "No wonder people think this brand doesn't have any diversity."
 
"Well isn't he lovely" Ayla remarked rolling her eyes.
 
"Maybe he is bitter because he doesn't have gorgeous blonde locks." Caroline said smirking at the balding man.
 
"That or the fact that we have rocking bodies" Charlotte added with a grin.
 
"So do you think we will be getting interviewed? Alya asked, I shook my head "I doubt it, you might but i'm a newbie and as that guy oh so pointed your typical Victoria secret model."
 
"You're being to negative," Charlotte said "C'mon you should be excited , I know i am. Our first Victoria Secret Fashion Show. It's kinda a big deal."
 
"Ofcourse i am excited." I said, "I'm just nervous. Like i can't help imaging i am going to trip on the runway or something."
 
"It's not you're first runway?" Caroline asked , I shook my head "No ofcourse not , It's just bigger in a sense. More people see this one."
 
"Now she is making me nervous." Charlotte joked.

This set is terrible , I'm sorry you have to see it.

☆ Sunday :
Second Challenge - We all know we love to lip-sync, and since the big VSFS is coming up in a couple weeks, which song would you like all of the girls to lip-sync to for their annual lip-dub video?
 
☆ Song Explanation: Okay so the things i noticed from the Lip Synch video's is the all feature a song by one of the artist that perform a fashion show. That been said i've seen plenty of Rihanna and Bruno Mars so i went with the slightly less cool Justin Bieber. Whether you love him or hate him there is no denying the boy has pulling power. So i went with 'All I Want For Christmas' originally by Mariah but the Biebs covered it.
 
Why this song though? Well despite Christmas being the biggest spending holiday of the year. The song it is self a great mix of catchy pop hooks with fun, slightly sexy and playful lyrics which would be perfect for the girls to mime.
 
Outfit Explanation : Outfit would be a mix of the pj line (and of course the santa hat.) and VS's holiday line. The reason i choose this was because it is a good preview of the holiday line which would highlight the sexiness of the vs brand and then sleepwear line would give it a fun playful element.
 
What the Video would be like:
The start of the video would feature a long shot of a snow filled runway before you hear the jingle bells and you see an angel wink at the screen.
 
Then it would cut to girls wearing the sleep wear line in a with a basic white background with a christmas tree , the girls would be decorating while cutting to indivual shots where the girls (all) will be miming t he song holding up signs saying whether they have been naughty or nice.
During the chorus they would show the girls in the holiday line in a sleigh with a santa claus and the video would continue like that until the end where you see the angels and the girls saying the only gift you need is the vsfs fashion show.

"And Ava your good to go." The director called out as the camera focused on me. It was time for my individual shoot for the film clip. I grinned at the camera miming the words while holding both the naughty and nice signs in my hand. I pretended to think about before holding up the nice and winking.
 
"All i want for christmas is you." I said sang well mimed towards the camera point as well before shaking my santa hat to the side.
 
"And we are done." The director called which was my que to leave.

☆ Friday :
Karaoke night! We're all heading to the Upper West Side's hippest Karaoke Bar, complete with drag queens. Drink, sing, have a good time and try not to make a fool of yourself.

First Challenge - In lieu of us being in Hawaii, design a look for your gal on a gorgeous beach shoot perfect for the Maui sands, and the VS Swim catalogue, of course! Good luck!

Explanation of Ava's look.
Firstly since Ava is pretty comfortable on the beach , I tried to keep it as relaxed (because that is what Ava thinks people do at beaches) as possible while still being glamorous and flirty. I choose the sequinned top to add a glamorous feel to the pretty laid back look. Ava is definitely a hat girl so by adding the wide brimmed hate , it not only added a casual boho feel to the outfit but also was pracitical way to protect herself from the sun. The sandals reflected the easy style of Ava while still being stylish. The printed bikini is the flirty part of the outfit , Ava loves the colours of the bikini and the bandeau style of it.

I took a picture of Maui beach sending it to Serena. Yes i was rubbing it in. I was in Hawaii doing my first Victoria Secret shoot and she was , well i don't know what she was doing but i was pretty damn sure it couldn't be better than what i was doing right now.
 
"Ava Wagner?" One of the make up artists called out , I looked up putting my phone back in my bag.
 
"That's me." I said waving my hands heading over to the make up artist called me. "Hi." I said with a big smile , what could i say i was really excited for today.
 
"Is this your first shoot?" She asked sitting me down in one of the chairs.
 
"With Victoria's Secrets. Yes." I said nodding "Could you just keep still?" She asked "Not trying to be rude , I just need to get this done."
 
"Oh yeah that is fine." I said as she started to do make up and hair for today's shoot. It didn't take long either she was very professional or she didn't have to much. I was going with the first one.
 
I headed towards the beach were a bunch of girls were waiting and watching whoever was getting their photo's taken now. I spent majority of my time talking to them , most of them were nice enough.
 
"Ava you're up." Russell said after what felt like forever on the sidelines.
 
"So this should be easy for you?" He said looking me over , "You worked with Seafolly's right?"
 
I nodded "Yeah , well hopefully." I said , I didn't want to ever think something was easy. That would mean i was complacent and i would no longer strive to be better. That was not the right personality to have right now.
 
"Hopefully?"
 
"I meant definitely." I said.
 
"Well then do your thing."
 
The shoot went relatively fast , I did a few classic 'sexy' poses and mixed up with doing some things and being silly infront of the camera.
 
"Okay i think we are done now." Russell said looking back at his laptop "Good shoot today Ava."
 
"Thanks." I said before walking away and heading back pulling my phone out of my bag and reading my message from Serena that simply said "B.tch"

Aloha ladies! We're taking a trip to Maui, Hawaii to begin work on the VS Swim catalogue! We're flying out nice and early, 5:00 AM to be exact. Once we get there, we've got an evening Luau to attend. Have fun!

We're all having a get-together at the VS Headquarters. Don't worry, there'll be champagne, finger foods, and hopefully some drama.

I was just fine, not nervous at all. Well i wasn't until i stepped into Victoria's Secret Headquarters. A room full of perfect people, with perfect hair , perfect bodies and perfect persona's. I wouldn't say any of them had perfect personalities after all no models did, It was a cut throat industry.
 
Though the idea of being surrounded by physically perfect people was a daunting thought. It wasn't the main reason i was nervous , no it was the fact that this made it so much more real. Up until i had looked at it as just another job , some way to get some more money and to get more recognition but looking around the room you could tell it was more.
 
Every woman here wanted to be angel , some more than others i am sure. And i wanted to be one just as much as them.
 
I grabbed a flute of champagne of one of the waiters tray and looked around the room. It was time to be social or at least attempt to.
 
"So are you new here as well?" A blonde girl with stunning blue eyes asked me with a smile. I nodded "Yeah, Well new to VS, I have been in New York for a bit now." I answered nodding "Your new as well?" I asked questionly mostly because she looked like embodiment of a Victoria Secret model.
 
"Yeah. It's pretty crazy." she said looking around the room in awe " I'm Charlotte by the way." She said still smiling.
 
"Ava."
 
"Where are you from?" She asked "Your accent sounds familiar but i can't place it."
 
"Wales."
 
"Oh another accent." A brunette girl said as she got closer, "She is Welsh." Charlotte said. The brunette girl nodded "Cool." she said nodding "Well i am going to get a refill." she said holding up her empty glass.
 
"Nice talking to you.." she trailed off looking me over. "Ava." I offered. "Right ,nice meeting you Ava." she said. "Oh I'm Naomi by the way." she said, "Nice to meet you to." I said as she walked off.
 
"So do you know anyone else here?" Charlotte asked , I shrugged some of the girls did look familiar but that could just be from seeing them in magazine's or something.
 
"I am not sure." I said looking around, "Have you meet many people you know here?"
 
"Not really but i've been talking to a few of them. Most of them are nice" she said. Models are nice , Who knew?
 
Almost all the conversations that were happening ended once Evie and Lo stood at the front of the room.
 
Welcome girls, to Victoria's Secret." Lo begins, raising her glass

"This is the first day of the rest of your lives. You are now one of the most gorgeous, most saught-after women in the world,"

"This is your life now. The glamour, the glitter, the fame, it's all yours. But that comes with a price." Evie said. "Every week, you'll be given a challenge. This challenge will officially determine your place in VS. Angel, or model, or if you're that unlucky, nowhere at all."

"Except for maybe on a flight back to your hometown." Lo continues, "But for now, enjoy it ladies. You're apart of the VS family now."
To say the atmosphere of the room dramatically changed after that would be understatement ,yes people still partied but there was a tension in the air now.
 
"I wonder how bad you would have to be to get sent home?" One girl said across from beside me , yet another blonde. "Not show up?" I offered , I honestly had a few idea's but that was the easiest way to get sent home right , just not bother.
 
"Well then they should go home. They are idiots , who doesn't show up to work with one of the biggest brands in the world." another girl said with a huff before walking away. I shrugged , what she said was true but i got the feeling i wasn't meant to add anything to the statement.
 
"She takes modelling very seriously." The calmer blonde said . "Oh." I nodded "I'm Ava." I said to her , she nodded "Alya." she offered "And that girl who walked off is Emmeline but i think she goes by Em." Alya said taking a sip of her champagne.
 
"So this is exciting." I said though the familiar nerves had found there way back. She nodded "What do you reckon the first challenge would be."
 
"Who know's." I said , "Hopefully something fun."
 
"It's a secret girls." Evie said coming over to us. "Hello again Alya. And i don't think we have met yet, I'm Evie."
 
"Ava." I said with a smile. "Nice to meet , You have a lovely accent." she said before walking off to go mingle again. I guess having to meet everyone was a perk of being an angel.
 
After an hour so of mingling with a few of the other girls , I decided it would be best to go who know's what would be happening in the next few hours.
 
"Hey there is an after party you know." A brunette girl called out as i headed towards the door , she was one of the few non blondes i had met tonight.
 
"Oh okay." I said "I think i might just skip out on it."
 
"Your loss." She said with a smile , "Oh yeah i'm Athena and your new like me , otherwise i would have seen you before."
 
"Yup newbie." I said pointing to myself "I'm Ava. Maybe we can party some other time?" I offered.
 
"We can party any time." she said before turning back towards the party.
 
I waited, looking out for a taxi , "Trying to find a taxi here is impossible." another girl said , again a blonde.
 
"Your telling me." I said, television told me lies , it made it so easy to hail a cab in new york but not once has it happened that easy for me.
 
"I'm Ava by the way." I offered , the blonde looked me over nodding. "Katarzyna," she said "Don't worry i don't excpect you to be able to pronouce it , just call me Kaz."
 
I don't know how long it was but eventually a cab showed up "Go you take , you were here first." Kaz said.
 
"We could share?" I offered , she shook her head "No thanks."

"So i am assuming you audition went well." The stranger from the other day said as i walked up the second flight of stairs, for some unknown reason the elevator was out again.
 
"Yeah it did." I said my eyes narrowing at him slightly.
 
"Well that is awesome." he said before walking away.
 
Weird.
 
Well it has just been a weird night.

"So is it everything Jay Z rapped about?" Serena's voice rang through my Iphone.
 
"It's definitely big?" I said looking out my window. Down below me i could see the gridlock roads and equally busy side walks. You could hear the horns beeping from streets and the chit chat that never seemed to stop but what could you expect from the city that never sleeps.
 
"Big. That is the best you can come up with?" she said sounding scandalised.
 
"Haven't you been here before?"
 
"Yes but that is not the point." she said before sighing "Big is a terrible description. Have you been popping pills again?" she asked , i could imagine her standing there starbucks in hand shaking her head at me.
 
"No." I said with a huff. "Your a terrible friend for suggesting that."
 
"Just checking." she said "And i have to go. Good luck with today." she said into the phone "Love ya hun."
 
I sighed shaking my head at the now beeping phone. Honey , my dog came running into my room carrying one of my old slippers in her mouth.
 
Note to self make sure closets is locked and make sure all shoes are in there before i go.

So far today i had phone calls and messaged from everyone i knew ranging from my mum to my management , even the married couple,soon to be divorced if i go by the twenty something i saw sneaking into the apartment while the wife is at work, wished me luck. How they knew i had no idea.
 
Oh wait i did. I squealed out in happiness when i heard i was even been consider for a contract with Victoria's Secret. While i am sure not everyone would think this was a big deal , I mean who cares it is just another modelling job but it wasn't. Everyone knows the name of at least one of the angels.
 
Ofcourse up until a few years i go just thought of Victoria Secrets as that lingerie brand the all h.rny teenage boys get off over in American television but now i knew it was a bit more. It was a step in the door.
 
Did i really want the fame that came with it? Probably not but i bet i could buy a nice house for my mother with an angel's pay cheque.
 
"Oh are wishing me luck as well?" I said to Honey who was now growling at the slipper completely ignoring me. "I am going to take that as you thinking i don't need luck."
 
"Oh god i am talking to my dog. A dog." I said to no one in particular "And now i am talking to myself." I said rolling my eyes slightly. I always did this when i was nervous , well not always there was a time when Serena thought i was going to join Amy and Curt in the twenty seven club and then she pointed out that i probably wouldn't even making it to twenty seven.
 
I grabbed my jacket and bag before heading out the door. I had been ready to leave since 6 o'clock this morning. Heading out the door apartment complex , I saw the taxi i had been hoping to get , the one that drops off a teacher two streets away from here , turning onto the street. I ran out the side walk waving my hand frantically hoping the driver would spot me.
 
Thankfully he did.
 
"Mind if we share a cab?" A voice yelled from the apartment before the man jogged forward. He was classically handsome and was probably full of himself. "It's just i am already running late." he said before huffing "Just had to run down three flights of stairs." I nodded. It couldn't hurt , Its not like i would ever see the guy again.
 
"Sure why not, hopefully this will help me get some good karma for today." He nodded not asking what i was talking about and getting in the taxi.
 
Helping a stranger out must surely count for something right?
